'THE FIRE BRIGADE'
A VIRILE AND SMASHING DRAMA. In ‘ The Fire Brigade,’ a Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer special production, to be shown at the Empire Theatre next week, commencing tomorrow afternoon, picture goers will eee an attraction of striking dramatic quality. This picture has been produced with the active cooperation of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, in the cause of fire prevention, so that it bears the important endorsement of official interest and authenticity. A tremendous and aweinspiring array of modern fire-fighting appliances, hair-raising thrills, and the greatest fire ever staged for motion pictures are the outstanding spectacular features of the film. The story is no less gripping, and carries one of the most appealing love romances ever produced. Mother love is emphasised alongside the love of man for woman—of fire recruit Terry O’Neil! and a beautiful heiress who is attracted by his simple, heroic qualities. William Nigh directed this amazing picture. \
