MYSTERIOUS EPIDEMIC
SEVEN CHILDREN DEAD CAUSE UNKNOWN Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, March 1. (Received March 1, at 10.20 a.m.) A mysterious epidemic has occurred among young children at the brown coal mine settlement at Yallourn. Seven deaths have occurred within a fortnight, and sis other children have been sent to the hospital. The first symptoms are similar to those of gastric influenza. The cause is unknown.
