The Dominion Meteorologist (Dr E. Kidson) supplied the following at 9 a.m. to-day:—

Forecast. The Dominion Meteorologist (Dr E. Kidson) supplied tho following at noon to-day;—The indications are for westerly winds, moderate to freshening: there is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, with isolated light showers, later warmer: barometer falling slowly; tides good, sea moderate. SAlLED.—February 29. Kamona, s.s. (5.i11) p.mi.l, 1,425 tons, Gardner, for Auckland via ports. Gale, s.s. (6 p.m.),. 667 tons, Stanicn, for Wanganui via ports. The Kamona sailed last night for Auckland via ports. The Gale loaded and left last night for Wanganui via ports. Tho Wiugatui is to leave Auckland to-morrow for Napier, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She will load here on Thursday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Kahika is expected to leave Gisborne to-morrow for Dunedin direct to load out on Monday for Napier and Gisborne via ports. The Kamo left Westport yesterday fo' - Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru, and Dunedin, The Cairn is due early on Saturday morning from .Bluff, She is to.load and sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton. AVcllingtou, Picton, and Wanganui. An expected arrival at New Plymouth to-day was the Cornwall from Brisbane, She is ,t° commence outward loading at New Plymouth. . THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahine, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.50 a.m. to-day, ami passengers and mails connected with the. first express. HORORATA AT NEW YORK. From Auckland the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Hororata is loported to have reached New York on Friday last. She left Auckland on January 24 with a full cargo of New Zealand produce for New York, Halifax, and London. SOMERSET AT COLON. En route from Liverpool to New Zealand. the Federal steamer Somerset is reported to have arrived at Colon on Friday lasi. She left Liverpool with a full cargo of genera! merchandise on February 7, and is due at Auckland on March 15. Her other ports of discharge arc Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin, and Bluff. MAHIA WITH CARGO. Cable news is to hand stating that tho Mahia left Falmouth last Tuesday with cargo for Suva, Dunedin, Lyttelton, New Plymouth, and Nelson. The vessel .should arrive at this port about April 6. RUAPEHU FROM HOME Tho New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruapehu arrived at Wellington vesterday morning from London and Southampton. She landed passengers only, and sailed in the afternoon for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to discharge cargo. She should reaeli this port on March 6. ARGYLLSHIRE TO LOAD. The local agents for the steamer Argyllshire advise that she arrived at Tokomaru Bay this morning from Sydney to commence loading for Hull and London. The vessel is to complete at Gisborne. Waikokopu. Bluff, and Port Chalmers, and is scheduled to finally leave tills port on,March 18. ASHBURTON FROM NEW YOKE. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that the A. and A. Line motor ship Ashburton, from New York via Panama and Suva, left Auckland last night for Wellington to continue unloading general cargo. The ship will also put out cargo at Lyttelton and Dunedin, and is expected here about March 10. THE MELBOURNE STEAMER. The Union Company advises that the Manuka, left Melbourne at- 10 a.m. yesterday with passengers, mails, and cargo for Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin. and Bluff. The steamer is due, here on March 7. and is to leave the following day for Bluff, thence Melbourne. THE PORT HUNTER. Messrs J. W. Swift ami Co. advise that tho C. and D. Line steamer Port Hunter arrived at Lyttelton early this morning from West of England ports via Auckland and -Wellington. Alter discharge there she is expected to leave again to-morrow for Dunedin, where she is due on Saturday. The vessel will proceed from here to Bluff to commence outward loading
RIMUTAKA REPORTED, The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Rimutafca, which left Wellington on February 4 for Southampton and London, arrived at Panama last Monday morning.
