CAVERSHAM SCHOOL
COMMITTEE MEETING. The, first regular meeting for this year was held last evening, the following being present:—Messrs Brown (chair), Todd, Dilloy, Allen, Rnstin, M'Lean Reid. The headmaster’s report showed a roll of 725, with an average attendance of 693. Mr Hamilton and Bliss Stewart are the new probationary assistants, and -Misses M’Larcn and Bohm the new probationers. Mr Fleming, fifth assistant, joined the staff at the beginning of the year, and Bliss Blauson, thirteenth assistant, commences on March 1. It is expected that tho two new rooms upstairs will be available tho first week in Biarch and the downstairs rooms in the second week. It will be necessary to continue the use of two rooms at the old school. The committee is taking steps to have the improvement of school grounds attended to.
