The executive decided to to liro tho 800yds Taranaki match instead ol finishing the Otago match. Shooting commenced at 9 o’clock. Tho trouble marksmen had to contend with was the changing light. Conditions otherwise wore good. Tho wind was puffy, and sighting varied from 3deg right to 2deg loft. No mirage was in evidence. At a representative meeting of tho association Colonel F. B. Creswell (Christchurch) was elected president, vice Colonel P. Hughes, resigned. Tho club representatives on tho executive areOtago, F. Silvios; Canterbury, Captain Masefield; Wellington, W. M’Bain; Auckland, A. Patrick; Territorial representatives—Colonel Hughes (Wellington), Captain Simmonds (Auckland), Surgeon-captain R, Crawford (Otago) ; W. Fellingham, secretary. Competitors' eulogised the efficient services of tho statistical staff under Captain Guy Felton. In the Taranaki match, which is in progress, possibles were obtained by K. M'lvenzie (Featherston), Caughloy (Karori), Bramley (Ashburton), M'fver (Petone), Bolton (Opaki). The long range matches arc causing many changes in the leading fifty, several men having “crashed” badly. The final will not be known till late in tho afternoon. The time limit of fifteen minutes is being enforced at tho long ranges. Bramley took six and Caughley eight.
