NEW PLYMOUTH, February 26. Dick Loveridge (Taranaki) 11.3 de* feated A. Broadfoot (Auckland) 11.3 on points in a fifteen-round contest last night at one of the best tournaments ever staged by the Taranaki Boxing Association. In the amateur contests T. Donovan, of Waitara, the New Zealand feather-weight champion, defeated C. Manson (Auckland). N. Roebuck (New Plymouth), the fly-weight champion, beat R. Fraer (Auckland). NEW SOUTH WALES BOUTS. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, February 26. At the Stadium, M'lnnes and Tullipan fought a lively ten rounds, when the fight was stopped, and M'lnnes was declared the winner. Tullipan shaped particularly well. At the Leichhardt Stadium, Thompson 12.2 beat Monson 11.13 in the light-heavy-weight championship of Australia. The fight was stopped in the tenth round owing to an injury to'Monson’s eye.
