VICAR AND PARISHIONERS

ST. CUTHBERT'S CHURCH OBJECTION TO DOCTRINES Press Association-By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, February 24. (Received February 25, at 8.20 a.m.) One thousand parishioners of St. Cuthbert’s met at Darwon and applauded Mr Moore, vice-chairman of the Parochial Council, when he said that they had shown the bishops that they intended to cleanse the church of doctrines introduced against the people’s will. The only solution was the Rev. E. Lauria’s removal. The Bishop of Blackburn, who is appointing his successor, had been given to understand the only sort of man with whom they would be satisfied.—A. and N.Z. and ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
