FAREWELL TO ALFRED WALMSLEY

Musicians of Dunedin have joined forces to give a fitting farewell to Mr Alfred Walmslcy, who leaves shortly to pursue his musical studies in Europe. His Majesty’s Theatre has been reserved for March 8, and the calibre of the entertainment may be judged from the fact that amongst those taking part are Miss Meda Paine and Miss Molly Vickers (sopranos), Mrs Charles Penman (nee Miss Lottie Scott), and Miss Winnie M'Peak (contraltos), Mr Ernest Drake (Conor), Messrs A. J. Lungley, and Reg. Richards (baritones), Mr F. C. Cooper (bass), Mr J. A. Wallace (violinist), Mr M. Robilliard (’cellist), Miss Anftg Winkel, and Mr Allan Young (elocutionists). The Dunedin Male Choir will also be heard, and Mr Walinsley will render several solos.
