SATURDAY'S BIG EVENT
Where to iro on Saturday night is a problem that confronts many people, but no better place of amusement could be found than the monster cycling cainival which is being staged at the Caledonian Ground to mark the second appearance of the great Australian champion riders, J. Standen and D. Gray, who made so auspicious a bow to the Dunedin public last night. Both men are riding brilliantly, and, with Nicholson, Palmer, and Bremford in form, some splendid races should be witnessed on Saturday. The half-mile scratch race should ho a thriller all the way. The running programme is a good one, and the mile medley relay handicap is one of its main attractions. The inclusion of a pole vault should also he productive of a good spectacular display.
