A TORY AMENDMENT PARTLY AIMED AT AUSTRALIAN TREATY. OTTAWA, February 20. Mr C. N. Cannn, a Conservative, moved a Tory amenndment to the Budget this afternoon, stating that the House regrets that the measure does not tend to provide increased employment in Canada, nor induce the return of Canadians to their native land, nor prevent continued emigration to the United Slates, nor does it make provision for the preservation of domestic markets for Canadian farm and dairy products. 'The latter is aimed at the Australian treaty.
