FATHER KILLS DAUGHTER
SYDNEY. February 18
The body of a girl, Elaine Grctf'ii, was discovered on a vacant piece of land at Marriokville with her throat fatally cut. The girl’s parents have been living apart. . Last night the father visited the house in a most excited state, and after a. heated discussion with his wife took the girl away. Later he returned and said little Elaine was now out of trouble, tie produced a razor and a bottle of chlorodyno and said ho was also going to finish himself. He then disappeared. The police are still searching for him.
GREEN COMMITS SUICIDE
SYDNEY, February 19. After an all-night search the police found Green in a suburban park weak from loss of blood from a deep gash in his arm. As they approached him Green drew a bottlq of lysol from iris pocket and drank the contents. Before he died an hour later he confessed that Ire killed Elaine in order to save her from a life of misery.
