WESTFIELD WORKS RESUME
LABOR DEPARTMENT SURPRISE SUMMONSES SERVED ON MEN [Pi:b United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 17. Work was resumed at Westfield Freezing Works to-clay under the usual conditions. The Labor Department, however, sprang a surprise upon employer and employee alike when each nf the men alleged to be concerned in the go slow movement, eventuating after the dispute over the classification of a sheep last Friday, was served with two summonses—one charging him with a breach of the award in impeding the work of his employer by preventing the work being carried out in customary manner, and the other alleging a breach of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act by taking part in a strike.
