BAND CONCERT

To-morroAv afternoon the Band of the First Battalion, Otago Regiment, under the baton of Lieutenant Llcw. O. Asten, will present a varied programme pf music. That the band is giving of its host has been shoAvu by its popularity at the St. Clair Carnival, where the playing was greatly appreciated by the large crorvds present each eveiiLg. On Sunday the programme includes tA\ T o fine military band marches, Mozart’s overture ‘ Don Juan,’ and the selection ‘The Reminiscences of Meyerbeer.’ The usual collections will be taken, and will go toAvards the purchase of the latest military band music journals and the ncAV instrument fund.
