(Received February 18, at 11.10 a.m.) The State Department may act to present the showing of the British cinema picture, ‘Dawn,’ against which Americans of German descent have complained. It is stated in New York that the department has no supervision over cinemas, and could merely suggest to exhibitors that the picture was considered to be offensive.
