PROMOTION BOARD ELECTION [Pks United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 17. 'A postal ballot held on February 15 for the election of a member of the Post and Telegraph Promtion Board in place of L. L. Hills, of Wellington, \vho did not seek re-election, resulted as follows: —H. M. Patrick (Wellington), 2,841; E. A. Thompscon (Wellington), 2,602; informal, 28. Mr Patrick is acting supervisor of the Public Service garages, and Mr Thompson is a clerk in the Telegraph Office. The Promotion Board consists of the secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department (Mr G. M'Namara), the chief telegraph engineer (Mr A. Gibbs), the first assistant secretary (Mr J. Robertson!, the second assistant secretary (Mr M. B. Esson), and the elgt> member (Mr Patrick)*
