Mr G. J. Anderson, Minister of Marine, Mines, and Labor, went to Waikouaiti this morning in company with Mr J. M. Dickson, M.P., and goes Jtorth to-morrow. A large number of howlers, including representatives of the Dunedin Centre and the ladies’ section, farewelled the Victorian bowlers as _ they left this morning at 8.40 for Tiraaru. Messrs J. E. Kennedy, J. H. Whitman, M. Clements, W. H. P. Roger, and Dr W. G. H. Tregea, delegates from the Masons of Victoria, who came across by the Manuka, have been holidaying in the Lakes district, and left Dunedin this morning for Wellington to attend the annual communication of tho Royal Arch. Mr F. J. Williams left for Wellington tjiis morning to attend the annual conference of civil engineers. Mr Alex. Begg, representing Boosey and Co., travelled to Christchurch by train to-day for the band contest.
Captain and Mrs Gill, of Lyall Bay, Wellington, are at present on a visit to Dunedin. New visitors to the Excelsior Hotel include Mr A. A. Tolley (London), Misses S. F. and A. Ferguson (Scotland), Misses D. and F. Hayes (Berth), Mr and Mrs John Kennedy, Mr and M's J. Whitman, Mr and Mrs Clement, and Mr Rodger (Melbourne). Mr and Mrs Tregea (Victoria), Mr F. G. Brackford (Sydney), Mr C.'F. Brackford (Sydney), Messrs A. H. Wilkinson and Mr J. Low (Auckland), Mr and Miss Dalrymple (New Plymouth), Mr J. A. Jacques (Wellington), Mr M‘Kay (Greymouth), Mr A. A. Lucas (Nelson), Mr M’Taggart (Cromwell), Mr D. R. M‘Co watt (Ranfurly). Latest arrivals to the Grand Hotel include Mr R. Clapin (Colombo), Mr and Mrs A. E. Dardel (Geelong, Victoria), Mr T. L. Ladbury (Melbourne), Mr F. C. Bowden (Auckland), Mr W. W. Allan, Mr L. R.othschild (Wellington), Mr S. Moscript (Gisborne), Mr and Mrs George T. Weston (Christchurch) , Mr and Mrs T. L. M.
