Robb (Minister of Finance) announced that the net debt reduction for the fiscal year of 1927-28 was 13,800,000d01. Regarding Empire trade, he said that the imports, to secure advantage of the British preferential tariff, must now be 50 per cent, of Empire labor and materials, instead of 25 per cent. A similar increase was required in goods entering under, the treaty rates and under the intermediate tariff.
