ERECTION Of PUBLIC MEMORIAL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, February 16. (Received February 17, at 11.40 a.m.) In the House of Commons the King’s reply to the Address acknowledged the decision in favor of a public memorial to Earl Haig, and added: “It is fitting that the honor which the nation has paid to the memory of this great leader and patriot should be given visible expression.”
