PRISONERS SENTENCED
CHRISTCHURCH Edward Skipworth Dixon (indecent assault on a male) was admitted to probation for three years. Duncan ■Chasland (indecent assault on a male) was sentenced to twelve months imprisonment on each of two charges, the sentences to be concurrent. Herbert William Heighten (indecent assault on a female) was sentenced to reformative treatment for a term not exceeding ten years. Oliver Victor Tuckwell (common assault on a female) was ordered to come up for sentence within three months Frances Robert Nicholson (indecent assault on a female) was also ordered to come up for sentence ■within three months. Walter Fraser Sherris Harneiss (burglary) was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment. James O’Brien (a racecourse pickpocket) was given six months’ _ imprisonment and declared an habitual criminal. Harold Hardgrave (theft) was admitted to probation for one year. Edward Frederick Wilde (making a false statement that he posted a packet containing money) was fined £lO, and ordered to pay costs (£11).
