NEWSPAPER ADVERTISING
REACHES THE MARKET AT CHCE [Specijl to tub ' Stae.'J CHRISTCHURCH, February 16. “One of the most important parts of a sales manager’s job is advertising,” said Mr H. C. Ridley at the Gas Institute’s congress to-day. “ I am a firm believer in using the columns of the daily newspaper. Although there are other means, such as hoardings, cinema theatre programmes, flashlight signs, and good-will advertising, all of which have their value, the newspaper reaches your market at once. It is read by the people who live on the line of the gas main; and, provided the advertisement is bold enough, it is almost certain to be read by the people you wish it to reach.”
