CRASHES INTO MOTOR. Through crashing into a motor car while riding a motor cycle on the highway this morning, a single man named Laurie Sillinghain sustained serious injuries to the head. He was taken to the hospital at 7.45, and placed on the dangerously-ill list. The injured man resides at Ravensbourne.

SHUNTING TRAGEDY. At Taumarunui, during shunting operations at National Park station this morning, Aubery C. Morgan, a married man, aged forty years, with four children, was riding on a wagon, when he fell in front of the last wagon of the train, the wheels passing over his legs. The injured man was conveyed to Taumarunui Hospital, but died at 12 o’clock.—Press Association.
