BUYING OUT BUSES
RAILWAYS ABSORB HUTT SERVICE JPea Unhid Press Association-] WELLINGTON, February 15. Mr F. J. Jones, chairman of the Railway Board, to-day confirmed, the announcement that the Railway Department had bought from their owners— Messrs Barber and Whetton, J. Sharpe, Ltd., and 0. Cotterill—their fleets of motor buses now running on the Hutt road in competition with the railway. These will be taken over next Sunday, when the department will run the existing bus services. The Railway Department has already bought out the “ Community ” bus service. .
