ST. HILDA SURF CLUB.
TO THIS EDITOR. Sir, —According to a “ local ” appearing in vonr issue of the 14th just., a meeting is to he held for the purpose of reforming the St. Kilda Surf Bathing Club .and providing appliances for life saving purposes. It would be very interesting at this stage to know the reasons why some four dressing sheds are utilised outside the control of the Surf Bathing Club, one by the Corporation and others by a private person who charges for the use of one as a dressing shed. The other is used for retailing confectionery, ice cream, etc. Also it would be interesting to know what became of the reels belonging to the club.—l am, etc., February 5. KjU’A. [The sheds referred to were originally erected by public subscription and subsequently abandoned. The Domain Board therefore took charge of them and carried two to St. Kilda, where they are now occupied by tenants under the' Domain Board. The Corporation lias nothing to do with the matter.— Ed. E.S.] '
