It was decided to explore the workings to-day to tho stopping which seals the part in which the victims are entombed. It is anticipated that some weeks will elapse before the affected parts of the pit are reopened. A message of heartfelt sympathy from the King and Queen has been re-; ceived by the bereaved families. 1
