In ‘ Naughty But Nice/ the First National production which opens at the Empire Theatre on Friday next, Colleen Moore, in the role of Bernice Summers, shows how the troubles of a little country girl caused amusement to her college mates. From the moment Colleen introduces Hallam Cooley, a total stranger as her husband she gets into trouble that makes the laughs heartier as the plot thickens. The story tells how a shy, green little Texas wallflower bloomed undei the influence of an exclusive Eastern finishing school into a gorgeous wildflower. John M'Cormick (producer), Carey Wilson (scenarist), and Millard Webb (director) have injected_ some of the year’s best comedy situations into the story, and the many daring scenes are handled in a deft, delightful way. The skill and charm- with which Miss Moore has invested her role are certain to appeal to everyone who sees the picture, she has brought to the characterisation of “ Berenice Summers” all the vivacity, insouciance. wilful youthfulness, and sympathy in scenes of dramatic intensity that have made her known and loved gherever motion pictures are exhibited,
