WORK FOR UNEMPLOYED
2,089 NORTH ISLAND; 1,000 SOUTH ISLAND [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 13. The Prime Minister stated to-day that the Government has made arrangements to take on 2,000 oi tho unemployed on the public works of the North Island. Although the South Island figures are not yet complete, it has been decided to take on 1,000 there.
