Betterton (Under-Secretary of Labor), replying to a question, said that the amount of unemployment benefit paid in Great Britain m the financial year 1926-27 was about £50,600,000, or 23s per head of the population.—A. and N.Z. and Sydney ‘Sun’ Cable.
