OPEN-AIR ENTERTAINMENT TO-NIGHT
The public should not, miss witnessing the unique open-air entertainment to be held at the *Carisbrook Ground (his evening, commencing at 7.30 o'clock. There is no greater attraction than a brass band quickstep, and the public will have an opportunity of hearing the Katkorai, St. Kilda, Tramways, and Mosgiel Brass Bauds and the Dunedin Pip© Band play Ihe marches to be. played at the Christchurch contest, and also seeing the bands going through the quickstep evolutions. This is an item that always appeals to both old and young. Besides the quickstep exhibition, the programme also includes cycling races, 100yds Hat races, 300yds uat races, mile race, mile relay and ricketers’ relay race, primary schools’ relay race. It will thus be seen that a most interesting evening’s programme has been arranged, and there should be ample attraction for everyone. The proceeds are in aid of the Otago Cricket Association.
