CHERNIAVSKYS RETURNING
There is no possible room for doubt as to the phenomenal achievements of the Cherniavskys. The Press opinions of Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Vienna, .Moscow, Petrograd, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Bombay, Calcutta, Seattle, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Bio de Janeiro, are all unanimous in declaring the great genius possessed by those Russian artists. The Cherniavskys have visited most countries, giving concerts all the while, and heaping upon themselves the golden opinion of half the musical population of the globe. From 1900 to 1903 they toured throughout the length and breadth of their native land —Russia. 1906 saw them in Vienna, while 1906 and 1907 were devoted to London and English provinces. In 1908 they undertook their first South African and Australasian tours, visiting the former country a second and third time in 1909 and TDU. They toured all through India and the Far 'East in 1912, and again in 1913 and 1914, reaching Now Zealand for their return visit at Easter, 1914, being hack in Australia, in June the same year. Since then they have been round the world many times and achieved even more triumphs. When one considers the quiet _ atmosphere and peaceful surroundings which are usually considered necessary for development, one has to marvel at the height to which the Cherniavskys have brought their work. These artists will make their appearance here at His Majesty’s Theatre on February 21, 23, and 25.
