Members of tho .Public Trust staff, with their friends, spent a, happy day yesterday at Brighton. The weather left nothing to he desired, and the various sports events and games were entered into with zest. Brighton’s many attractions were exploited to the full, the surf proving particularly enticing. During tho day a cricket match for the Graham Challenge Cup was played between the Estates and Acoucnts Divisions of tho office, with tho result that j the Accounts Division became tho holders of the cup hy a narrow margin. Results: — Ladies’ Race.—Miss Williamson 1, Mrs Grant 2, Miss Wilson 3. Hop, Step, and Jump.—Butterfield 1, Davenport 2, fonsido 3. Long Jump.—Brookes 1, Moloney 2, Harris 3. Men’s Race.—First heat: Cockburn 1, Kendrich 2, Ferguson 3, Second heat: Harris 1, Hand 2, M'Farlane and Rivers (dead heat) 3. Final: Harris'!, Rivers 2, Cockburn 3. Cigarette Race.—Miss Man toll and Kane 1, Miss Williamson and Cockubrn 2, Miss Thomas and M'Carten 3.
