ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
FOUND DEAD ON ROAD. A New Plymouth Association message states that a man ot about sixty years of age was found dead on the Junction road, just outside the borough boundary, at 8 this morning. There were on marks on the body to suggest the cause of death. Among his effects there are some papers with the name G. Hughes, which show that he belonged to the Wellington C-'-penters and General Laborers’ Union and the New Zealand LaboV Party. A swag was found on the roadside 100yds from the body. MAORI BOY DROWNED. A Maori boy named Hori Tiki Tatua was drowned in a. small lake at the Te Puia hot springs. The hoy had been missing since Sunday, and the body was found yesterday by two of the hospital staff.—Gisborne Press Association telegram.
