SIR ISAAC NEWTON'S LIBRARY DISCOVERED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, February 8. (Keceived February 9, at 11 a.m.). Sir Isaac Newton’s library has been discovered after 200 years. Newton died intestate, and it was never known where 2,000 volumes went. Now at least 600 have been found in a Gloucestershire House, where they have been since 1717. They include Newton’s early college books, such as English, Euclid, Greek, a Latin lexicon purchased in 3GGI, and costing Newton (3d, a copy of 1 Descarte’s Philosophy,’ and a well-thumbed copy of his own 1 Principia,’ profusely corrected for the second edition. The discovery forms a romance of books.
