The Supreme Court is hearing the case in which Albert Goodman is charged with negligently driving a motor car at the Upper Hutt, thereby causing bodily injuries to Jack Aldridge and Norman Parata. Jt was stated that s a mis Lake _ had been made in the doctor’s depositions, and that only one of the men had had a leg amputated. Dr Brown, in his evidence, said it was still a question whether Paratn’s leg would have lo ho amputated. Lengthy evidence is being heard.
PALMERSTON NORTH
Charles George Wilmot Palmer, charged with indecent assault on a male, reversed his lower court plea and pleaded guilty. The prisoner was remanded for sentence. Hika Anonama Parata, aged twenty-two, for theft of a postal packet and for forgery and uttering, was ordered to come up for ■sentence within two years, and was i
also ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution.
