PROFESSOR PEREH APPOINTED [Per United Press Association.] PALMERSTON. N., February 7. The Council of ilio Massey Agricultural College met- to-day. Mr Geoi'ge Fowlds was re-elected chairman. Ten tenders were received lor the dairy factory. These were fully considered, and a resolution was passed which will be published after consultation with the department. The Registrar of Victoria College advised that his council had amended the regulations for the Farmers’ Union scholarship so as to permit the scholarship to bo open to students of the Massey College, and stating further that no residential' restrictions would be placed on candidates. • Applications for the position of principal of the college were received from Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand, and Australia. After full consideration the council appointed to the position Professor Eeren, who lias been professor of agriculture at Victoria College, Wellington, since 1924. He received, his education in Canada, and was engaged for some years in practical farming in that country.
