ANTI-WAR TREATY
AMERICA STILL HOPEFUL NEW YORK, February 7. (Received Fobiuary 8, at 1.48 a.m.) It is intimated in responsible quarters that the United States refuses to believe, that negotiations for a multilateral anti-war treaty have readied an impasse as the result of M. Briand’s insistence upon the inclusion only of wars of aggression. The hope here is that Franco may recede from this attitude.
