WAIPIATU SANATORIUM

About three weeks ago the Love Construction Company started work on the additions to the Waipiata Sanitarium, and the foundations have already been laid. The contract consists of the construction of one large women’s dormitory, two smaller ones for the men, as well as an up-to-date laundry building. All the structures are to be built of wood, and the dormitories, as is usual in such, an institution, will be provided with broad verandahs and various devices which mean that patients will be able to receive the benefit of as much fresh air as possible. All the material is on the site, and it is expected that the additions will be finished before the winter sets in.
