TAIERI RIVER TRUST
Mr R. T. Sadd presided oyer the monthly meeting of the Taicri River Trust yesterday. Mr John M‘Lcod wrote requesting the engineer and members to_ visit his property and inspect the piping. Ho drew attention to Loo Crook, stating that water flowed on to his property when the creek rose.—Tho letter was received.
Mr N. Reid wrote stilting Unit, in his opinion, the blocking of pipes and cutting of the embankment in the contour channel would not better the position to which he had previously referred. The channel was a menace to the upper end of the plain, and the waste of money was a disgrace to those responsible for the work.—The letter was received. Mr Walter Beattie wrote refusing to consent to the removal of a pipe from a, channel in his property.—The letter was received.
Mr James Thomson wrote stating that ho was against the blocking ol pipes under the contour channel.—The letter was received.
