The teams skipped by Rawlinson (‘Star’) and Harris (‘Times’) were fairly matched, and a ding-dong go ended in the ‘Star’ being 2 up. With one head to play in the other’ rink—Smeaton (‘Times’) and Lambeth ‘Star’) the skips—the ‘Times’ was 1 down. They drew the .shot, but could not improve on that, so that game resulted in a tie, and on the whole play the ‘Star’ won by 2, thus avenging their previous defeat this season on the St. Kilda Green. As Rawlinson had to leave early, D. Brown took his place, and had the pleasure of guiding the ‘ Star ’ in the later heads.
