ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
PROGRESSING SATISFACTORILY. !
Mrs Allan Johnston and her nephew, Mr Allan Munro, who were the victims of a motor mishap on the Roxburgh road on Thursday last, are making satisfactory progress at Stafford Hospital. It appears that Mrs Johnfiton accompanied by Mr Munro and Misses Doreen and Pat Munro, of Mflton, were returning from Cromwell, and on the approach to Island Block a short circuit resulted m a sudden failure of the head lights Before the car could he pulled up it took the bank and capsized, pinning the ladies underneath. Fortunately, help was soon forthcoming, and medical aid was secured from Roxburgh, The injured members of the party -were brought to Dunedin by ambulance next morning. Mrs Johnston sustained a fracture of two ribs and severe shock, and Mr Munro is suffering from a broken collar bone. The two girls were uninjured.
