Mr Charles March, a former Speaker in the House of Commons, has resigned the chairmanship of the Government caucus in order to have a free hand to prosecute a motion that General Barron (Mexico 1 Consul to Canada) should be expelled for recent statements made by him in attacking the Boman Catholic- Church. The resolution also calls for the severance of diplomatic relations with Mexico till religions liberty is established in that country.
