(Ecceivcd September. 19, at 10 a.m.) Blaming sensational journalism for the recent suicide epidemic throughout the whole country, the new police president has prohibited newspapers publishing news oi suicides on the first nows page. Such items must bo tucked away on other pages_without headings. Photographs of suicides are entirely prohibited. Transgressors against tins order will bo heavily punished.—Sydney ‘ Sun ’ Cable.
