UNPLEASANT SURPRISE FOR INTRUDERS [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND.. September 13. When tiro burglars forced with a crowbar the door of the Dominion Road Confectionery at 5 o’clock on Sunday morning, the son of the proprietress was waiting behind it with a baton, with which ho struck ths first intruder on the head. In tho ensuing chase the custodian brought to earth the second man with a well-aimed bottle. Tho police later took him into custody, and subsequently arrested his mate at his lodgings in Newton. Both appeared in court this morning.
