The Wingatui, which arrived here yesterday from Auckland via ports, is timed to sail at 8 p.m. to-day lor Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Auckland. The, Breeze is to sail this evening lor Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. Owing to a shortage of labor, the Kahika is now not expected to clear Bluff until Wednesday. She is to load here on Thursday for Napier and Gisborne via ports. The Karetn, from Sydney, is to leave Oamaru to-morrow, and after discharge of her cargo here, she will proceed to Sydney via Bluff. The Corinna leaves Wellington on Wednesday for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She loads here on Friday for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. The Calm is duo here to-morrow morning from Bluff, and is to sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The steamer Antonio is to leave Nauru Island on October 6 with phosphates for discharge at New Plymouth and Wanganui.

The Poolta left Clarence River last Wednesday for Port Stephens and Newcastle to complete loading timber lor New Plymouth, 'Wellington, and Greymouth. The Colonial Sugar Company’s steamer Rona was expected to leave Suva yesterday with sugar and molasses for Auckland and Sydney. The liner Ruahiue completed her loading at Auckland, and left there on Saturday -for Southampton and London via Pitcairn Island and Panama. Cable advice received states that the American steamer West Conob sailed from Los Angeles on September 19 for Auckland, where she is due on October 5. At Auckland the vessel will load for Melbourne and Sydney. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Maori, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.55 a.m. yesterday, and passengers and mails came south by the 8.50 express to-day. 11.M.5. DUNEDIN ARRIVED. H.M.S. Dunedin, which left Auckland last Monday for a cruise of southern ports, arrived this morning from Stewart island, and berthed at the Rattray street wharl. Captain Ritchie is m command. The Dunedin will be twelve days in port, sailing on October 1 for Timaru and Akaroa. KAHUNA FROM HOBART. The Union Company advises that the Kaitnna is to leave Hobart on Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, Oamain, Timaru, and Lyttelton. SOMERSET FROM LIVER POOL. Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Co. advise that the Somerset, from Liverpool, will be dispatched from Lyttelton to-morrow evening. She i.s expected here about midday on Wednesday. PASSENGERS FROM ENGLAND. Tbo next steamer to reach New Zealand with passengers from England will bo the Shaw, Savill. and Albion liner Mataroa. . She, is due at Auckland from Southampton and London on September 26. Her general merchandise is for discharge at Auckland and Port Chalmers. A.A. AND O. SAILINGS. The following movements of Amcri-can-Anstraiian-Oricnt Line steamers are advised;— The West Conob left Los Angeles on September 10 lor Auckland with a small quantity of case oil and lumber for discharge at Auckland.. She is expected to arrive at Auckland on October 5, and, after discharge, she will load there for Melbourne, Sydney, Port Moresby, and Hongkong. The West Elcajon is to leave Los Angeles on December 10 lor Auckland, Napier, Wellington, and Dunedin, arriving at Auckland about January 4. The West Sequana is to leave Los Angeles on January 3 lor Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Timaru. She is due at Auckland on January 28. . , . Good weather was experienced the other side ot Panama, and the Canadian Challenger arrived at Colon on Almost 9. Transit through tne canal was granted, and the vessel cleared Balboa the same day. Rit-c;-»rn Island and the Galapagos Group were sighted three days out Irma the canal. ’Fine weather continued to prevail, and it was only four days or so before reaching Auckland that westerly winds, blowing from moderate to strong, were encountered. Despite fairly heavy bead the gale did not impede the steamer’s progress appreciably. The, Canadian Challenger was here Inst in April, when she brought a similar cargo to this one from Montreal. MAUNGANUI TO RESUME. The Mannganui, which’ has been laid up at Wellington for sopie time past, is to resume her running in the Sydney service on November 11. replacing the Mabono, which will withdraw on her arrival at 'Wellington on November 8 from Sydney.
