AHTI-BRITiSH BOYCOTT BRITISH AUTHORITIES TAKE ACTION. (Official British News.) Press Association—By Wireless —Copyrignt. RUGBY, September 16. (Received September 17, at 11 a.m.) Counter measures have been taken by the British authorities to meet the threatened renewal of the anti-British boycott at Canton. Already reports have been received of interference with British goods in transit by the picket organisation, whose object is not political, and whoso personnel is undistinguishable from tho pirates afloat and from the brigands ashore. The steps taken by the British are primarily designed to protect the trade of Hongkong from the pickets’ illegal activities, and closely resemble tho action taken successfully and without bloodshed in 1925 against the armed Cantonese picket boats.
