POOR LAW RELIEF

LONDON, September 15. (Deceived September 1(3, at 9.55 a.m.) A Health Ministry report announces that the poor law relief has been raised 550 per cent, and outdoor relief 1,000 per cent, since 1914. The outdoor figures for 1914 to 387,796 persons cost £2,214,680. and in 1927 to 1,722,084 people tho cost was £23,750,000.
