From remarks at tho annual smoko concert of the ICvan’s Bay Yacht Chib it is evident that ’ Wellington yachtsmen consider that smaller and cheaper boats than the Rona type < are to he encouraged, these latter being too expensive'for the average individual. Mr Kienian. of tho Port Nicholson Motor Boat Club, agreed that the Sanders Cup boats should he 11-footers and should all carry tho same sail, but he contended that amateur building would not be encouraged if tho boats liad to be built strictly to certain moulds. Amateur builders should be allowed to build any bilges they wished in the endeavor to find tho fastest boat..
