HEW CRUISER LAUNCHED (British Official News.) Press Association —By Wireless—Copyright. RUGBY, September 14. (Received September 15, at noon.) Tho cruiser London was launched today at Portsmouth. Lady Blades (the lady mayoress of London) performed tho christening'ceremony. The London, which is of 10,000 tons, is the first of the four cruisers of tho 1925 programme designed by Sir William Berry, Director of Naval Construction. She is also the first ship of her type.
