HARRIER CONCERT

The Abbotsford Methodist Harriers hold a most successful concert in aid of the club funds in St. Mark’s Hall, Green Island, on Wednesday. A packed hall awaited the performers, who at 8 sharp commenced an excellent programme. The following items were rendered and greatly appreciated:— Orchestral selection, Air R. Smith and party; humorous songs, Mr Brown; solo, Miss C. Carr; recitations, Miss V. M'Ahan and Miss Hamilton; Harry Lauder selections, Mr Geo. Wiseman; solos, Mrs Scott; orchestral selections, Mr W. Bennett and party; step dances, Miss E. Fincbam and Miss Kitto; solo, Mr W, Stewart; solos, Miss Williamson. The club funds should be augmented to tho extent of about £l2 as tho result of the evening’s effort. A vote of thanks to the chairman (Mr W. T. Kaler, the mayor), and the performers, and Mr A. L. Burke, the accompanist, was carried with acclamation.
