PRINCESS THEATRE
‘The Black Eagle’ is the title of the show which is nightly delighting large audiences at the Princess Theatre. This new production is a nondescript conglomeration of musical comedy and nonsense. Of plot there is quite a lot, in which cowboys, pretty girls, and an officious sheriff have important parts. The tale is of the Wild West, and deals with the life of a dangerous and daring individual known as “ Black Eagle,” who is the terror of the township. Like all revues, this one ends up with everyone happy and satisfied, although the trials and tribulations that many of the characters go through are varied. Nearly every member of the cast assists in the comedy work, while tfio vocal side of the programme is well served by Ena Gordon, Elsa Scott, Heather Jones, Gale Wyer, and Charles Norman, who also engages in eccentric dancing. The dances provided by the ballet are something out of the ordinary..
