NEXT TOURNEY AT CHRISTCHURCH [Per United Press Association.] CfcIIIISTCIiUIICIT, September Id. The annual meeting of the Council of tha New Zealand Howling Association was held to-day, wlicn Mr A. J. .Benzie, of Christchurch, was elected president. The retirin'' president, Mr J. W.iiardlov, said the association was in an excellent position. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £7-! on the year’s working, making a total credit ol £l9d. It was decided to hold the next annual tournament at Christchurch, beginning on January 10, 3028. # 'Hie selectors appointed to pick the team to visit Melbourne and play Australia in December - were:—Messrs A. K Smart (New Plymouth), J. Kershaw (Wellington), J. M. Thomson (Auckland), J, Moves (Timaru). D. M. Fasticr (Dunedin), and A. J. Jicnzio (Christchurch).
